On 30 September, WIPO performed the first ever cross-border book transfer using the services of the Accessible Books Consortium (ABC) in which IFRRO participates. The transfer was a symbolic gesture to mark the entry into force of the Marrakesh Treaty, which allows cross-border transfer of accessible format copies between parties to the Treaty without the legal obligation to request permission from the copyright owners. The transfer took place between the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Vision Australia.
