On September 7, WIPO Director General Francis Gurry received Tunisia's instrument of ratification to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled from Ambassador Walid Doudech, Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva. The Treaty will enter into force for Tunisia on December 7, 2016.

Earlier in the week, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines also joined the Treaty which will come into effect on December 5, 2016 for the island country.
